Axalta Energy Solutions products are widely used in a wide range of industries where reliability, durability and efficiency of electrical equipment are crucial.
One of their main areas of application is electric motors, both in industry and in everyday appliances. These products, including wire enamels, impregnating varnishes and resins, provide insulation for windings and protection against moisture, temperature and chemical agents, which significantly extends the life of motors.
Another key application is generators and transformers, devices responsible for generating and converting electricity. Thanks to Axalta’s advanced insulation systems, these devices operate reliably even in extreme conditions, maintaining high efficiency and safe operation.
These products are also used in power electronics and electrical engineering in general, where they protect components from overvoltage, excessive heating and mechanical damage. This is especially important in devices operating continuously or under heavy load.
A rapidly growing area is e-mobility, where Axalta technologies are used in traction motors and drive systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. They provide the high performance, compact design and resistance to vibration and variable operating conditions that are characteristic of automotive applications.

Impregnating Resins
Impregnation resins are key components in the manufacture and reconditioning of electric motors, transformers and other electromechanical equipment. Their main task is to protect windings from moisture, contamination and mechanical damage, as well as to improve the thermal conductivity and electrical resistance of the entire system.
Axalta offers a wide range of impregnation resins, from solvent-based systems to state-of-the-art, low-emission solvent-free resins (100% solids) that comply with the latest environmental standards. Our products are characterized by excellent winding penetration, short curing times and high thermal resistance, reaching class H (180°C) and higher.
Thanks to advanced technology and the ability to customize the parameters of viscosity, gel time and final hardness, our impregnation systems are used in both mass production and service, enabling durable protection and longevity of electrical equipment.
Enamels for winding
Winding enamels are thin-film insulating coatings applied directly to copper or aluminum conductors used in motors, coils, relays and transformers. Their function is to provide reliable electrical insulation, resistance to abrasion, chemicals and high temperatures, as well as protection against short circuits and flashovers.
Axalta supplies enamels with diverse characteristics – from Class B (130°C) to Class C (220°C), including specialty products: with enhanced chemical resistance, increased flexibility or self-bonding properties. Enamels can be applied in multiple layers in a continuous process, followed by thermal curing to achieve precisely controlled coating thickness and quality.
Our products meet international standards (IEC, NEMA, UL) and are used by both major OEMs and remanufacturers of electrical equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and durability in demanding industrial applications.
Coatings for electrical steel
Coatings for electrical steel play an important role in optimizing the performance of sheets used in the cores of transformers, electric motors and generators. Their main task is to reduce hysteresis losses and eddy currents, as well as to protect the surface from oxidation, corrosion and contamination.
Axalta offers a comprehensive line of electrical insulating coatings for various classes of applications such as organic (C3-C5 grades), inorganic and hybrid coatings. Our products are characterized by thermal stability, low thermal conductivity and controlled coefficient of friction, which allows for efficient sheet machining and precise forming of core packages.
Axalta coatings comply with IEC 60404-1-1 standards and meet the requirements of manufacturers of steel and electrical components. They provide long-lasting protection, improve magnetic properties and make it possible to reduce operating costs by increasing the energy efficiency of equipment.
